ADMT v3 - Matching/Migrating to an existing account

hi folks,

hopefully can answer question on domain migrations...

scenario
we have 2 domains in separate forests part of same organisation , until there has been no trust in place. domain windows nt domain, whilst domain b windows 2000/2003 domain. our plan migrate domain larger , newer domain b. tricky part users in domain have ad account in domain b purely exchange mailbox. when users access mailbox domain specify credentials domain b account.

planned migration
what use admt migrate user account domain merge account in domain b. this migrated account maintain sid of account had in domain b have sid history , group membership of account in domain a. naturally no affect exchange mailbox functionality.

can done admt v3??
if how do , have knock on effect profile migrations etc.

if admt cannot can recommend solution?

this can achieved using version 3.0 of active directory migration tool (admt).
version 3.1 no longer supports restructuring windows nt domains source domains.

you can use migrate , merge conflicting objects option in admt merge accounts source windows nt domain accounts in windows server 2003 domain.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
